Yosemite Valley Day Use Parking

Consistent with the final approved Merced River Plan in 2014, this design project addresses the realignment of Northside Drive; new Day Use parking at Yosemite Village (750 cars, 5 buses, transit stop), the Falls at Yosemite Lodge (300 cars, 24 tour buses, RVs), and the expanded Camp 4 campground (130 cars); Day Use visitor amenities and arrival facilities at the parking lots; wetland and forest preservation and restoration; and preservation of vistas. Visitor amenities include trails, boardwalks, overlooks, picnic areas, comfort stations, transit stops, and a new visitor contact station. Phased implementation is scheduled to begin in 2016, and will eventually include relocation of several buildings including the concession offices.
