Sequoia & Kings Canyon Development Concept Plan

As subconsultant to Siegel and Strain Architects, John Northmore Roberts and Associates are part of the design team preparing revised Development Concept Plans for the Lodgepole, Wuksachi and Wolverton District Development Areas in Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Parks.

JNRA reviewed conceptual plans developed by the park and provided spatial and logistical guidance for the future development of these areas with close attention to maintaining the same current character and level of development distinguishing the Parks.  The focus of the development planning is on the Visitor Center arrival experience; the shuttle system, Transit Hub, and transit support facilities; Group and RV camping opportunities; campground accessibility and comfort station improvements; and potential visitor and employee housing opportunities.
